Engagement Session with Experts in Regina
June 26, 2018 – Regina, Saskatchewan
Representatives from the Canadian Minerals and Metals Plan (CMMP) Secretariat, the Saskatchewan government and industry met in Regina for a discussion centered on Canada's potash sector. Discussion themes centered around:
- Global competitiveness;
- The importance of rail and transportation infrastructure to the mining sector;
- The participation of Indigenous Peoples, and the role the potash industry plays in engaging with Indigenous communities, supporting employment and sharing of benefits from mining; and,
- The creation of a cohesive 'Canada Brand' for mining.
